Lingling-o’s are worn as both pendants and earrings, as seen here with Apo Whang Od, the oldest living Kalinga tattoo artist (mambatok.)
HISTORY
Lingling-o’s are amulets designed to foster luck and fertility. Associated with late Neolithic to late Iron Age Austronesian cultures, most lingling-o were made in jade workshops in the Philippines.
